


We led the development of one of the most ambitious launches in keyboard history — a platform capable of an unprecedented one billion configurations.
The challenge was balancing complex mechanical engineering with a modular ecosystem that empowered limitless user expression across multiple form factors — 65%, 75%, and 100% layouts — and diverse material builds.


Our strategy centered on a sophisticated modular architecture featuring nine points of hardware customization. A key engineering breakthrough was the development of a dual-compatibility PCB — the first of its kind to support both hall-effect magnetic switches for performance and traditional mechanical switches for enthusiast variety.
To further personalize the experience, we developed a swappable gasket system that empowers users to fine-tune the acoustic profile and typing feel.
Leading the product development, we maintained Industrial Design ownership while collaborating with factory engineering teams to ensure architectural coherence across the various form factors and materials.
We oversaw the entire validation lifecycle — EVT, DVT, PVT — solving technical hurdles on the factory floor to protect the project from late-stage engineering misses.
This project redefined the limits of enthusiast hardware, making a hobby that was once hard to access available to the mainstream with a huge range of customization points.
Beyond its technical success, it became the #1 selling prebuilt keyboard at Best Buy stores nationwide.
